Why Drum Lessons?
Drum classes are a percussive playground where the joy of making music collides with the thrill of unleashing energy through drumsticks. Learning to play the drums is like embarking on a rhythmic adventure, where each strike and roll is a heartbeat in the soundtrack of their journey. These classes teach students the technicalities of drumming and instill essential life skills. Patience is honed as they synchronize their beats, and discipline is ingrained through consistent practices. The drums become a canvas for self-expression, allowing students to translate their emotions into thunderous or gentle beats. It's not just about keeping time; it's about discovering the rhythm that resonates within.
Moreover, drumming is a full-body experience, fostering coordination and motor skills as students navigate the drum set's various components. As they progress, their confidence swells with each perfectly executed fill. With their primal and universal appeal, the drums become a lifelong outlet for stress relief, creativity, and sheer joy. In essence, drum classes aren't just about creating percussionists; they're about nurturing vibrant individuals whose lives are enriched by the heartbeat of drumming, echoing the rhythm of their adventurous spirit.

How experienced are your instructors? At SAHM, our instructors are where we shine, and they are the reason we have been able to continue to grow since we opened our doors in 2002. Our instructors have degrees in music from various College/University music programs, and the few who don’t, have impressive resumes as professional musicians. Most importantly, our all have multiple years of teaching experience and understand what it means to be a ‘teacher’ and not just a ‘player. They are patient, talented and fun, and have the tools to explain concepts in a way that is easy for their students to understand. They are passionate musicians who really care about their students and seeing them succeed in their chosen instruments. No two students learn exactly the same way, and at SAHM, we pride ourselves in figuring out the best way to teach each individual student.
